Dear LVSL community

The LVSL Board has met this evening and all members clubs have unanimously voted to return to miniroos, junior and senior competitions as of this weekend.

We acknowledge that it will be a different landscape with limited spectators at junior games and only essential personal at senior games, but we must push on and play the game for our players who are our primary stakeholder.

The LVSL will cover costs of referees at both junior and senior level for the next two weeks to help alleviate the costs incurred to clubs given that gate and canteen revenue will be impacted. Clubs will not be charging gate entry fees at senior level as the expectation is that once players have finished their game they are required to leave the venue unless they are directly involved in another game on that day.

Junior and Senior games will be as per the scheduled fixtures for this weekend and the missed rounds will be made up at the end of the current home and away season fixture. Revised fixtures will be published in the coming days.

To ensure that we remain under the rolling venue caps for permitted spectators at miniroos games we have revised start times to be as follows for the next two weeks:

U6s: 8.30am
U8s: 9.30am
U10s: 10.30am
Miniroos fixtures will commence from Rd 11 as per the online fixture, your clubs will provide further details.

We ask that our wider community read the attached link around the return to play guidelines and support these so as players at all levels can recommence playing the game they love. To our supporters, hold tight and we will see you all again in two weeks time.

This agreement and commitment from our clubs will ensure that we can complete our home and away season, cups and finals series prior to the previously agreed season end date.
